Initial assessment FAQ’s
-
This appointment will be used to discuss your current complaint/s, discuss existing and old injuries, goals and perform an assessment to take a look at your posture, how you move, and what your strength is like.
-
As we will be taking a look at how you move, it can be helpful to wear clothing that you can easily move about in and that fits close to your body.
-
This depends on the individual and which class you are attending.
Everyone requires at least two appointments (an initial assessment and follow-up)
Remedial classes:
The length of this initial process is different for each person, as it depends on the severity of your injury and your ability to safely use the equipment and perform the exercises.
Your physiotherapist will be able to give you an idea of how many sessions will be required after your first appointment.
Equipment classes:
Usually we find the initial assessment, plus one to two follow ups is sufficient for most.
-
As the length of the assessment process varies for each person, we do not take bookings for classes until you have finished the initial assessment plus any required follow ups and your physiotherapist or instructor has confirmed you are ready to start classes.
-
Our classes can get busy! But we have found from running the classes for many years that week to week availability can change.
If your availability is limited to only one or two classes on our schedule, we recommend contacting us and letting us know, that way we can give you a general idea of how full the class currently is.
Either way, we recommend continuing with the initial assessment process, and if for any reason, your preferred class is full, you will be ready to go once a place comes up!
Most people purchase a casual pass and book onto the waitlist if their preferred class happens to be full.
-
If your GP has given you a Medicare Care Plan, it can be used towards your initial appointments with the physiotherapist, but not towards the classes.
CLASS PASS FAQ’s
-
We currently offer casual passes or term passes. Casual passes allow more flexibility with your bookings, whereas term passes are great for those who need more accountability or have limited availability to attend classes. We find most people purchase the term pass as it helps to keep them accountable.
-
A term pass is a booking into the same class each week for the entirety of the term.
This pass is best for those who like to come regularly, or have limited availability.
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy that applies and any unused sessions can be made up within the same term, so long as there are spots available in other classes.
Classes that need to be rescheduled (subject to cancellation policy above) can be moved up to two weeks into the future. For example, if you need to cancel next Monday’s class, only the classes over the next fortnight are available to book at that point in time.
Classes cancelled within the 24 hours are forfeited.
Any classes cancelled by us, will be refunded at the end of the term.
Any classes not completed during the term do not carry over to the following term.
-
For those who don’t want to commit to a weekly or regular session. Best for those who travel frequently or have a rotating work roster.
Available in single, 6 or 12 pack of classes.
Passes have a 6 month expiry after the first use.
Classes will be available to book up to 2 weeks in advance.
24 Hour cancelation policy applies.
Classes cancelled within the 24 hours are forfeited.

All our passes have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Classes cancelled within this time frame are forfeited.
To see the specific terms and conditions of each pass, please see above.

Once booked into a class, a 24 hour cancellation policy applies.
Cancellations within 24 hours will result in your pass being deducted.
Those with a term pass who cancel a class outside of the 24 hours, can use their session within the current term.
Those with a casual pass who cancel a class outside of the 24 hours can re book their session whenever they like so long as they use it before their pass expires.
Any classes not used by the end of the term, or by the expiry of your pass are forfeited.
-
Those in the Remedial Classes can claim through their private health insurance so long as they are treating an injury or pain. Please see our fact sheet for all the details here.

Once you get the hang of how to navigate Punchpass, booking in and out of classes will be quite easy. However, here are some trouble-shooting suggestions we have found..
Are you trying to book into a class more than 2 weeks into the future? To avoid classes being overbooked due to our 4:1 ratio, our classes are only able to be booked 2 weeks in advance.
Do you have an active pass? Class reservations can can only be made with an active pass on your Punchpass account.
Are you trying to book more sessions than what your pass has remaining? Please note, you are only able to book as many sessions in advance as what is listed on your pass (i.e if you have purchased a 6 session pass, you can never create more than six class reservations at a time).
Why can’t I move my class reservation? Is the class reservation you are trying to move within the 24 hour cancellation period? If so, you will only be able to cancel your class reservation, due to the 24 hour cancellation policy.
Are you trying to book beyond the expiry date of your pass? As our passes have a set expiry date, you will be unable to book past this date. To check the expiry date of your pass, simply log into your Punchpass account online.
Do you have more than one Punchpass account? We have found many people have forgotten what email address they have linked to create their Punchpass account with. This may mean you have more than one account, often causing you to lose track of current passes and bookings.
